Hello sugar! We're happy to see you're checking out a blog like ours! Up until this very moment you've heard us mention aftercare briefly. Let's expound on that shall we?

Results are driven by change. A change that is 70 percent of you following our recommendations and 30 percent the service you receive with us. Variables like alcohol consumption and diet have a major role since you're what you eat.

In the aftercare card we provide instructions such as when to exfoliate, activities to avoid and how sunscreen is a necessity.



Worst case scenario you loose your aftercare card. Which sucks!  No big deal though! This blog acts as a digital copy that can be referenced at the tap of a finger.

Now the race begins. On your mark, get set, go!

No Touching.

One of your first reactions maybe to touch the freshly sugared area? Hair free care free, right? Let’s slow down!


​Your hands have bacteria that can spread to your follicles and cause infections. Always wash your hands before touching freshly sugared areas. 

​Feeling refreshed and energized after your sugaring appointment?

  Don’t run a mile or jump in the hot tub! Avoid sex for 24 hours after the service and other strenuous activities. 

​ Again we put emphasis on bacteria being spread to freshly sugared areas.

Exfoliation

"Every 2 to 3 days you should exfoliate your skin with our exfoliating mitten."

Although sugar removes dead skin cells from the skin. The cycle of new to dead skin cells continue to accumulate. Every 2 to 3 days you should exfoliate your skin with our exfoliating mitten.

That way our vajacial oil can penetrate into the follicles of your skin to avoid  ingrown’s! What makes it such a powerhouse?

It's composed of Tea tree oil, which is an anti-fungicidal anti-virus and a anti-bacterial. Peppermint oil to reduce inflammation lavender that calms the skin. 

Jojoba oil that mimics natural sebum production in the skin. Aloe vera speeds wound healing other ingredients used are mugwort oil, vitamin E, raspberry,  Rose buds and grapeseed oil.

​Exfoliation allows for a more painless hair removal, so 24 hours before your next sugaring appointment sloth off those dead skin cells.

Smooth operator skin just as supple as when you left your sugaring appointment.

Sunscreen

The victory lap is sunscreen simply put! Everyone needs protection from UVA and UVB rays. There is no great skin care routine without sunscreen! UVB and UVA rays will make all other skin care products  null and void.

Apply as directed by the manufacture. Yes, it  is that serious. We often watch clients take  it lightly when we mention this topic. 

Prolonged sun exposure leads to premature aging and hyperpigmentation.

​Professional grade products contain active ingredients that require you to be proactive about sun exposure.

For women of color  who are concerned about that dreaded white cast from some sunscreens we recommend the brand Black Girl Sunscreen.
